Detailed review of the Pro Fitness T2000 Folding Treadmill

Programmes and Features

The Pro Fitness T2000 Folding Treadmill includes an impressive range of fixed programmes and user modes, so you can simply pick your favourite settings and immediately start running.

There are a total of 30 different programmes, each with its own speed, incline, and distance, so you can always pick just the exercise you’re after.

Besides these fixed programmes there is also a manual mode, allowing you to tailor your workout to your specific needs.

Additionally, there are three countdown modes, as well as 400m lap races, for when you want to challenge yourself.

The T2000 is also fitted with a number of nifty add-ons, to make your workout experience more enjoyable.

These include a built-in fan to cool you down as you exercise, and Bluetooth speakers so you can run to the sound of your favourite tunes.

Display

This treadmill comes with a wide acrylic mirror console, conveniently and clearly displaying all the live workout data you could need.

This information includes run time, distance covered, speed, incline level, calories burned, and pulse.

The latter is monitored via pulse sensors located in the hand grips, and there is also a body fat analysis programme for even more feedback data. You’ll struggle to find something you can’t measure on this machine!

Performance

The T2000 is a high-performing treadmill, capable of providing many of the services a gym treadmill can.

First of all, it goes up to 18 kph, making it suitable for runners of most levels. Additionally, users that want more even more of a challenge will find the variable incline a useful feature.

Even in high speeds you can count on this treadmill to be easy on your knees and back, thanks to its excellent shock absorption technology, allowing you to use it for extended periods.

And of course, there’s an auto-stop safety belt, so using this treadmill is perfectly risk-free.

Build Quality

This is a robust and sturdy treadmill. It weighs 64kg, and can handle users weighing up to 125kg (nearly 20 stone). It measures H178 x W82 x D128cm, with a running surface measuring L138 x W46cm- which is longer and wider than the average home treadmill.

As the name indicated, you can fold this treadmill for easy storage. When folded, it measures H147 x W81 x D120cm. Upon arrival, self-assembly is required, but that can be done by one person and shouldn’t take more than an hour at most.

You can find more information on building the machine here.

How Does the Pro Fitness T2000 Folding Treadmill compare to the T1000 Folding Treadmill? Or the Reebok Jet 300+?

At about £50 more expensive than the Pro Fitness T1000 Treadmill, it might just be worth the extra money.

The T2000 has speeds up to 18kph vs the 16kph of the T1000, this has 30 user programmes vs 24 on the T1000, and a 3hp peak motor size.

A key thing which we think brings the T2000 closer to a gym treadmill is the running surface- which is L125xW43cm on the T1000, but L138xW46cm on this T2000- so a bigger area for those challenging workouts.

You can read our review on the Pro Fitness T1000 Folding Treadmill here.

So how does this compare to the Reebok Jet 300+? Despite being more than twice as expensive, you need to weight up how much you intend to use the treadmill over the longer term.

Both reach similar speeds (the Jet 300+ can go 2 kph faster), offers the same level of control over incline (15 levels up to 15%), and come with comparable programmes (although the Jet 300+ also has user-defined and target-oriented programmes, which the T2000 lacks).

The biggest difference between the T2000 and the Jet 300+ is in the display.

The T2000 has an acrylic mirror, LED display console, whereas the Jet 300+ comes with a computer touchscreen where you can watch videos using apps like Netflix. The build quality is also noticeably better, although you would expect as much for the additional price.

For a moderate user the additional cost may be a little too much, the T2000 sits in a place that offers great functionality and good all round performance.

Final thoughts on the T2000

Versatile, robust, and high performing, the Pro Fitness T2000 is an excellent exercise machine. It goes faster, has more control options, and can provide a more challenging workout than most home treadmills – while still being very reasonably priced.

With its wide range of programmes and settings it will prove useful to users of all fitness levels, and thanks to a number of handy features this treadmill is also very convenient and enjoyable to use. It even has the added bonus of being foldable, making it easy to store.

With all these benefits and virtually no disadvantages, and at such a competitive price, the T2000 is a great choice that will not disappoint.
