And how do we know everyone loves it? Because it’s often out of stock and only available to pre-order!

First Impressions:

First impressions of the JTX Sprint 8 Pro treadmill are good. Although slightly more compact when compared to other treadmills in the same price range, it looks sturdy and well-built.

The running board is generous (55cm width) and sturdy which should reduce impact. The position of the armrests do not make you feel hemmed in.

The console display is well-positioned for monitoring stats and selecting programmes and workout options. The console display is simple and well-defined- but very big!Other features include Bluetooth speakers and a tablet holder for accessing alternative workout choices.

The high max speed and 3HP motor makes this suitable for all running abilities.

The JTX Sprint 8 Pro is heavy, weighing in at 117kg (18.4 stone). Although it comes complete with transport wheels, some people may find the treadmill difficult to move. As it is compact, a better option could be leaving it in place. But, with the hydraulic assist technology, you can lift the running part of the treadmill to store away.

Set up:

When the JTX Sprint 8 Pro is delivered, it needs to be assembled. The kit comes with the materials you need to make the process easy. The box arrived and it measured L205 x W95 x H38cm and was quite heavy at 128.5kg (20 stone)- so be mindful where you are setting it up to use.

Assembling this slightly technical treadmill on your own is not easy to do. To make sure the assembly goes smoothly, it is best to work together with someone else.Check that all of the parts are in the box. There have been some power issues. Fortunately, JTX’s network of local engineers steps in if there are any issues.

It took less than an hour to put together and when fully assembled, didn’t dominate the room. The built dimensions are W92.5 x L132 x H156cm.

Build quality

For a treadmill that supports up to a 130kg (20.5 stone) user weight, it has to be said the design is compact.

The cushioned running area gives you the impression the JTX 8 Pro Smart is a treadmill which you can spend a considerable amount of time on without feeling uncomfortable.

The support bars are well-positioned and should not get in your way during your workout.

The large console is a bonus appreciated by many runners. The display is nice and clear when it comes to reading your stats.

When folded, the treadmill measures 92.5(w) x 132(l) x 156(h)cm. The size should not dominate most rooms.

The upper weight limit is a testament to the build quality of the treadmill. Few treadmills for home use support a user weight of 130kg.The dual-hydraulic folding system and transport wheels are plus points. But, as the treadmill is rather heavy, you may want to leave it set up.

There is also a very nice tablet holder and BlueTooth speakers with what JTX call the “multimedia system”, so you can have your own party AND workout at the same time!

Performance

You are spoilt for choice when it comes to workout programmes. The JTX Sprint 8 lets you choose between 36 programmes. On top of that, you also have the Kinomap and Zwift functions when you like to challenge yourself.

The 3HP motor allows speeds up to 20kph and the digital 15% incline along with all the program options means you can get some serious variety out of this treadmill, whatever your workout goals are.

Feedback and vibration are minimal thanks to the well-cushioned running board. Furthermore, the 6-point insulated running deck reduces the risk of impact and protects your joints.

The support bars are well positioned letting you move your arms as much or as little as you like. Compared to other similar treadmills, the proportions are good. Once assembled, the treadmill measures‎ ‎193 x 92.5 x 149cm.

The large display console makes it easy for you to monitor data including incline, calories, time, pulse, distance and speed.

The handgrips allow you to monitor your heart rate. If you would like to monitor your heart rate more accurately, investing in the Polar chest belt which is sold separately is a good idea.

Things we really liked:

• The cushioned well-thought-out running area is one of the best features of the machine. Running on this treadmill for extended periods is comfortableand you get zero feedback when exercising
• Hydralic assist technology means it’s really easy to store away.
• The console is simple and clear making monitoring stats easy.
• Great to have the opportunity to fold the treadmill away should you wish to do so

The JTX Sprint 8 Pro Smart Treadmill offers semi-professional (and most other) runners an excellent workout and running experience.

With so many different programs and app choices, there is something for everybody. This makes the JTX Sprint 8 Pro a great treadmill wherever you are on your fitness journey.

The JTX Sprint 8 Pro treadmill is great for running or walking workouts. It is compact, but has excellent performance and for a cushioned run, is a great choice if you need a low impact exercise.
