Overview

The Pro Fitness T1000 Folding Treadmill is a wonderfully versatile exercise machine. This treadmill will provide you with all the benefits of a standard gym treadmill, but from the comfort of your own home – and at a more than reasonable price.

This treadmill comes with a wealth of programmes: 1 manual mode, 3 countdown modes, and a whopping 24 motivational programmes that will see you reach and then exceed all of your workout goals.

It can also carry out body fat analysis so whatever you want to achieve, you know that with this machine, anything’s possible!

A detailed display console (a fancy mirror LED screen by the way) provides all the live workout data you could need, and a variety of controls allow you to have a perfectly tailored exercise experience every time.

And if all this isn’t enough – it’s a folding treadmill, so you can put it away when you need the extra space.

Key Features of the Pro Fitness T1000

For a folding treadmill at around £400, the T1000’s many features are a pleasant surprise. Perhaps most useful is the impressive variety of programmes.

These include a manual mode, where you set your own speed and incline, and three countdown modes. Besides these, there is an additional 24 fixed programmes, with various speeds and incline combinations.

Aside from the various programmes and controls, the T1000 has a couple of other handy features.

One of these are the built-in speakers, allowing you to play your favourite exercise music via Bluetooth. A body fat analysis feature and the pulse sensors in the handlebars are both nice touches as well, providing added depth to your workout feedback information.

Display

Again unlike many other folding treadmills, this one has a large, detailed display. This acrylic mirror console allows you to easily monitor your run time, calories burned, distance travelled, heart rate, incline gradient, and speed.

Besides this feedback information, the display also allows you to choose between the different programmes described above, as well as to adjust your speed, incline, and more.

Assembly and Build

Self-assembly is required for this treadmill. Two people are needed to remove it from the box, as it weighs 60kgs. The rest can be done by one person and shouldn’t take more than an hour at the very most.

For a folding treadmill it is a bit on the bulky size, measuring H160 x W76.5 x D126 cm. However, this allows it to have a slightly wider and longer running surface than most folding treadmills.

The T1000 is a sturdy exercise machine, with a maximum user weight of 120 kg (nearly 19 stone). Unlike most treadmills of this size and calibre this one folds (into a H135.5 x W76.5 x D73.5 cm package), for easy storage.

Performance

With speeds of up to 16 kph and inclines from 0 to 15%, the T1000 can really get your blood pumping. And with excellent shock absorption technology, this treadmill will be easy on your knees and back even in higher running speeds.

And of course, there’s an auto-stop safety feature, so you’ll be perfectly safe even during more intense workouts.

How does the Pro Fitness Folding Treadmill compare with the Opti Folding Treadmill?

Like the T1000, the Opti Folding Treadmill has a built-in display console. However, this one is much smaller and more limited than the T1000’s.

And while the Opti treadmill is lighter, smaller, and folds into a more compact package, it can’t compete with the T1000 in terms of performance: the T1000 goes faster, inclines higher (with more adjustability), and provides more than twice as many programmes.

Although the Opti Folding Treadmill is slightly cheaper than the T1000, it simply doesn’t offer the same benefits.

Going only up to 12 kph, it is not suitable for those looking for a more challenging exercise. Besides, it just doesn’t have the adjustability and versatility of the T1000, thus being a little limited in its applications.

If you’re looking for something a little smaller at a cheaper price, you can read more about the Opti Folding Treadmill here.
