It provides you with that gym quality look, feel and performance at a really affordable price. I can see why it yo-yo’s in and out of stock with its’ popularity!
The S20i Folding Treadmill is built with a 2.5 CHP DurX Commercial Plus Motor, that’s designed to move you through your toughest, fastest exercises without missing a beat.
The S20i reduces the vibrations felt in its 51 x 140cm tread belt, which is further enhanced by comfortable FlexSelect cushioning. The S20i hits top speeds of 18 km/h and reaches inclines of 10%, both adjustable via Digital Quick Controls.
iFit Membership
One of the standout features from this treadmill is the iFit Bluetooth connectivity and 1-year iFit membership.

The NordicTrack S20i Treadmill comes with a 5-inch Bluetooth Smart Enabled LCD Display, which allows you to track your speed, estimated calorie burn, time, distance and more.
With the iFit app, you’ll also enjoy more enhanced metrics tracking across all iFit compatible equipment. The Bluetooth enabled LCD Display also gives you access to on-demand iFit workouts directly to your equipment.
The iFit membership gives you access to a new workout every day, automatically track your progress, enjoy real-life runs with Google Maps, where you can experience running in the New Zealand mountains one workout and then running along a sunset beach the next.
You can also compete with your friends and custom-tailor your training to your specific goals.
Your iFit Trainers will automatically adjust your speed and incline to optimize every workout and mimic real-world terrain, taking the guesswork out of your exercise for good. You can follow along with the real-life workouts through the dual speakers the S20i comes with.
Running Experience:
When it comes to the quality of the running experience the S20i provides, the high quality design continues. The industry-leading motor is engineered to perform, where it comes with self-cooling technology, meaning this drive system is much less likely to overheat than traditional treadmill motors and aides the overall lifetime performance of the treadmill.
The S20i reduces the vibrations felt in its 51cm x 140cm tread belt, which is further enhanced by comfortable FlexSelect cushioning. This reduces the impact on your joints and provides a smooth and comfortable running experience.
The S20i also has a generous max speed of 18km/h meaning this treadmill is suitable for even the more seasoned runners and the S20i also has up to a 10% incline, which alongside the speed if adjustable via the Digital Quick Controls.
Having this wide range of incline and speed, allows flexibility in your workouts and providing that important variety factor in order to reduce tedium.
Ease of use
If you’re someone is who lacking on space, the innovative SpaceSaver design with EasyLift assist means the treadmill can fold up after your run for compact, simple storage. As with any large piece of gym equipment, make sure you properly measure the space is suitable.
The unfolded dimensions of the S20i are as follows: L225 x W90 x H225cm and the folded dimensions are L98 x W90 x H170.
In terms of assembly, the treadmill is a little fiddly and quite sizeable at 80kg (12.5 stone).
I would therefore recommend having a second pair of hands available to help with construction and moving of the treadmill. Overall, it took me just over an hour to fully assemble and the instructions were easy to follow.
When it comes to peace of mind, the S20i also comes with warranties. There is a lifetime frame warranty, 10 year motor warranty and a 2 year parts and labour warranty. But make sure you register within 28 days of purchase, to avoid missing out.

How does the NordicTrack S 20i compare to the Pro Fitness T3000 Folding Treadmill?
When it comes to price, both of these high class, gym quality treadmills are around the £900 mark. The Pro Fitness T3000 edges out the S20i when it comes to max speed, 20km/h compared to the S20i’s 18km/h and also wins in the incline category, with 18% compared to 10%.
Both treadmills come with Bluetooth connectivity, built in speakers, wide and comfortable running surface and easy to use feedback console.
The main difference is the type of programmes each treadmill offers.
The Pro Fitness T3000 has a whopping 36 user programmes, meaning the flexible variety of workouts available, are pre-built into the treadmill.
The NordicTrack S20i makes use of the iFit membership to provide the gym class style and feel. Keep in mind that membership is only included for a year and after that you’ll need to renew your subscription. If you’re someone who thinks they would really benefit from the iFit membership, where the idea of working out in a more collaborative way, with the use of apps to track your progress and set challenges, then the S20i would be more appealing.
If you’re someone who thinks they wouldn’t make the most out of this feature and would prefer the treadmill to provide slightly more in terms of speed and incline, then I would recommend going for the Pro Fitness T3000.

This is a high-quality treadmill and another piece of at home gym equipment that is tapping into that gym class style workout in the comfort of your own home.
It’s comfortable, smooth and offers a wide range of base features, meaning it’s suitable for a variety of runners, from the beginner just starting out on their journey, to the more experienced runners who are looking for something different than other treadmills on the market.
The iFit membership makes this treadmill stand out from competitors and something I find really useful when it comes to keeping me motivated.
