The Lowdown

NordicTrack has built a strong reputation for providing high-quality treadmills and the T6.5Si is no exception. It’s not the cheapest in the popular NordicTrack T Series range and will set you back just shy of £1,600, so it’s not the cheapest on the market by any means.

But that 10-inch touchscreen is just beautiful!

First Impressions

The NordicTrack T6.5Si treadmill is designed to be a commercial quality treadmill, built for at-home use and therefore the higher price tag in comparison to other at-home treadmills is understandable given the high build quality and design.

This treadmill is all about providing the user comfort, versatility and choice. This is epitomised through the iFit integration, which is really the main selling point of this treadmill.

You will get access to 16,000+ on-demand workouts, live interactive training, easy stat tracking, as well as new daily workouts.

The iFit coach-led experiences allow your instructor to digitally adjust your speed and incline, keeping you focused on achieving a calorie-burning, high-energy workout. Interactive workouts which is certainly a trend the at-home gym market is moving towards.

It’s designed to provide extra motivation and that gym class feel.

From the T6.5Si FlexSelect cushioning, which softens the impact on your joints, to the powerful 2.6CHP motor and even the wide running surface, this treadmill will certainly keep up with you and make your workouts enjoyable.

NordicTrack T6.5Si Treadmill Review

Set-Up:

The first thing to note about the NordicTrack T6.5Si Treadmill is the massive size of it!

Weighing in at 95kg it certainly is quite a beast, so keep this in mind when deciding where your treadmill is going to go, as you won’t want to keep moving the treadmill too often.

I would also recommend having two sets of hands when it comes to building the treadmill, as it can be quite bulky and difficult if there’s just one of you. Don’t forget some extra tools too!

With this heavy weight, the T6.5Si does provide a certain sturdiness and comfort and helps to provide that gym-quality look and feel in your own home, as well as being able to support a max user weight of 136kg.

The assembled dimensions are L188cm x W91cm x H138cm and whilst the treadmill is heavy, it does have a SpaceSaver design with EasyLift Assist, which should help you move and fold the treadmill.

Performance:

NordicTrack pride itself on offering a comfortable workout experience through a treadmill that is built to last.

The T6.5Si comes with FlexSelect Cushioning, which softens the impact on your joints and simulates real road running.

There is also a SMART-Response Drive System, which utilises a 2.6 CHP DurX Commercial Plus Motor. This powerful motor reduces vibration and allows you to get a stable and solid workout throughout. It’s also super quiet too, unlike other treadmills we’ve used.

In terms of performance specifications, there is 0-10% digital incline as well as a max speed of 18 km/h, which puts the T6.5Si in the faster range of the market when it comes to max speed and therefore means this treadmill is suitable for a variety of users, from beginners to intermediates and even for more advanced athletes.

Features:

Like all treadmills in NordicTrack’s T Series range, this treadmill comes with iFit integration and a 30-day free membership. It will cost extra once the trial is over (£34p/m), so keep this in mind.

With iFit, you get access to over 16,000 on-demand workouts and world-class trainers who can take you through live interactive training and new daily workouts.

iFit also allows you to create up to 4 different user profiles, which is great if a number of you are going to be using the treadmill and want to have independent stat tracking. iFit definitely keeps you motivated, but I would have liked to have seen some integrated programmes on the treadmill too.

Let’s talk about the fancy 10-inch display, which is a key selling point of this treadmill. It’s intuitive and allows you can to keep on track of your workout progress and offers all the essential performance feedback, such as time, distance and calories and all your iFit workouts! The console has easy one-touch controls, so changing speed and incline mid-workout is a breeze!

If like me, you prefer to work out whilst listening to music, there are dual speakers built into the treadmill, meaning you can easily connect your phone or tablet for some tunes!

Things we really liked:

Final thoughts on the NordicTrack T6.5Si Treadmill

Overall. The T6.5Si is a high-class, well-designed and reliable treadmill. You get what you pay for and despite the quite sizeable price tag, it really is a fantastic at-home treadmill!

The screen really sells it, too- but to get the most out of it, you’ll have to pay for iFit, which means that if you are going to buy the treadmill, make sure that you are ready to commit to using it many times a week!
