The Lowdown
This NordicTrack treadmill might be the creme de la creme of the EXP series, bringing technology and engineering together to create a perfect interactive treadmill, but with a price tag over £2,000, we see if it’s worth it…

First Impressions
You can’t deny that this NordicTrack treadmill has all the bells and whistles- with a 14-inch HD touchscreen console, powerful motor and challenging inclines. It looks good and performs well- a commercial-level at-home treadmill, for sure.
It’s worth noting that you’re paying more for the 14i because of the console and this treadmills max running speed goes up to 19 km/h, whereas the 10i and 7i (cheaper models) go up to 22 km/h. So if it’s the speed you’re after, then save some money and chose a cheaper EXP model.
All in all, the Nordictrack 14i is sturdy and feels gym-quality to run on, and if you’re willing to subscribe for it, has some class interactive features through iFit.
Pros
- Ability to decline and incline
- Heavy max user weight (136kg)
- 14-inch smart touchscreen
- Fast running speeds
- 2 year parts and labour warranty
Cons
- Heavy to move around
- Longer set up time
NordicTrack EXP 14i Treadmill Review

Set-Up:
For a complex treadmill, as you’d expect, the assembly takes a little patience. For a start, you’ll need two people, and think about what room you’ll be using it in and set it up there. It’s not light weighing in at 101kg (over 15 stone!).
The main frame comes as one part with the running belt, but the handlebars, console and device shelf will need to be fitted on. The manual is relatively straightforward to follow, but aligning the console with wires and holes is a little tricky! You’ll also need to find a Philips screwdriver and wrench in your toolbox to finish assembling the NordicTrack treadmill.
It did take a few hours to set up, but then once all together, it’s quite intuitive to get going. The hard part is then signing up to iFit, but you don’t have to do the straightway. What you do need to do right away though is register the treadmill within 28 days to make sure your warranty is valid. Don’t forget!
Also, the room needs to have WiFi and a plug socket to work.
For reference, the boxed dimensions are L213 x W81 x H36 cm and fully assembled measures in at L202 x W99 x H150cm
Performance:
With a 3.5 CHP motor, you can hit running speeds of up to 19km/h, and with a decline of -3% to a 12% incline, you can really get a varied and challenging workout. It’s unusual to have a decline option on a home treadmill which means you can simulate walking/running downhill and target that lower body.
The iFit membership on this machine will maximise your performance, as it’s fully integrated with features like Google Maps technology and Automatic Trainer Control, you will get the most out of this treadmill by using iFit (but you’ll have to pay after the free trial is over).
What makes this NordicTrack treadmill special is the 14-inch HD touchscreen console- it’s massive! So with iFit you can follow live interactive studio workouts in real time, run anywhere in the world with automated workout adjustments to speed and incline, and also track your stats in detail. And imagine that on a 14-inch HD screen! Just wow.

Features:
There are some nice features on this NordicTrack treadmill to make your workout more comfortable and keep you motivated. Let’s start with the FlexSelect cushioning that puts the power in your hands on your running impact.
There are also nice touches like Bluetooth connectivity and digital speakers so you’ll never want to stop working out! Something that the other EXP treadmills don’t have is the device shelf which is perfect for storing your phone or device.
Things we really liked:
Decline option to run downhill (-3%)
I know we’ve said it before, but the 12-inch screen is amazing!
Folds up when not in use
Final thoughts on the NordicTrack EXP 14i Treadmill
If you’re looking to treat yourself and have a bigger budget, then the NordicTrack EXP 14i treadmill is a good choice. Yes, it’s slightly on the indulgent side, but with amazing interactive capabilities and commercial-style performance, you’ll feel like you’re in the gym in the comfort of your own home.
Yes, it is heavy, and a bit bulky and will need a paid subscription to an iFit membership after the free trial, but if you’ve got the money, you won’t be disappointed!
