The Lowdown

At under £400, this isn’t the cheapest foldable treadmill on the market, but with 12 programmes, speeds up to 14 kph and folds flat to just 15cm, we see if this Limepeaks treadmill is worth the money.

First Impressions

Not a well-known brand, but clearly a popular choice, this Limepeaks treadmill seems to have all the features that people are commonly wanting in an at-home treadmill. Easy to store, can get your steps in whilst working from home, and can enjoy your favourite music or film when burning those calories.

I had my concerns when this Limpeaks treadmill was delivered at 35kgs (about 7.5 stone), it didn’t feel that heavy, but as long as you’re not looking to consistently do max speeds, then it will be fine.

It has some nice added features, looks good in a fresh white colour, and the biggest selling point is that it folds perfectly flat down to 15cm- but being so flexible, we see if you can still get a challenging workout.

Pros

  • Folds flat
  • Delivered 96% assembled
  • 12 fitness programmes
  • ottle and phone holder
  • 12 months warranty

Cons

  • Walking, not sprinting speeds
  • Can sometimes wobble with things on the tray.

Limepeaks Fitness Foldable Home Treadmill Review

Set-Up:

A big tick for this Limpeaks home treadmill is the fact that limited assembly is needed. It comes with 4 butterfly screws, so unfold it out of the box, fix the base and handlebars together with the screws and you’re good to go!

It took me about ten minutes to put it together, and the box wasn’t too heavy to move on my own, also great that no tools are needed. I was a bit sceptical about how sturdy it would be with limited assembly, but it felt robust when all set up.

It comes with transportation wheels, so easy to move around and you don’t need to exercise in the room you’re storing it in.

One thing to be mindful of is the belt can sometimes be noisy, so I made an added effort to oil it regularly which has helped slightly.

All assembled together, the Limepeaks treadmill measures D368 x W170.2 x H249cm and as I’ve said lots already, folds flat to 15cm!

Performance:

This at-home treadmill has some nice touches for convenience, but can you have a good workout? This Limepeaks treadmill is good for speeds up to 14kmph, which I would say is fine for a brisk walk and up to a jog, but any faster and you’re better off getting something a bit studier like the JLL T350 Digital Folding Treadmill or the Pro Fitness T1000 Folding Treadmill.

You can increase speeds at the touch of a button in 0.5kmph increments, which is great if you’re looking to gradually build up your fitness levels. There are 12 workout programmes too, so if you’re not sure how to use the treadmill, you can add guidance and variety to your fitness routine.

The screen on the shelf is pretty good and easy to read at 5 inches. You can measure calories, distance, time, pace and all the usual workout metrics you’d expect from an at-home treadmill. One thing I did notice is when I was picking up the pace, the display screen did sometimes flop down which was a bit annoying!

As well as tracking your performance metrics, there are also hand pulse sensors to measure your heart rate. I did compare the reading against my SMART watch, and it was pretty accurate.

To help your performance, the tread belt is quite a good size for a foldable treadmill at 120 x 40cm and shock absorbing so is a little bit kinder to those joints.

Features:

There are some nice features on this Limepeaks at-home treadmill. First of all the shelf is useful and where you can watch your phone or tablet. You can also store your water bottle on this too, but at speeds over 10 kph, they did start to wobble a little.

I really liked the built-in speakers which you can easily connect using a USB/MP3 connection. They were clear and I was able to hear my music over the equipment. There is also an emergency cord that comes with a clip for you to attach to yourself, so if you need to urgently stop, the treadmill will stop too.

Things we really liked:

Good max user weight of 130kgs for a folding flat treadmill.

12 months warranty

Pulse sensors are a nice feature and fairly accurate

Final thoughts on the Limepeaks Fitness Foldable Home Treadmill

This treadmill is convenient if you’re looking to get fit and might not be able to get to the gym or are tied to your desk working from home.

It’s definitely more of a walking/light jogging machine, but if that’s what you’re looking for, then this Limepeaks treadmill could be for you.
