The Lowdown

The CANMALCHI Under Desk Treadmill is a sleek-looking under-the-desk treadmill. 
On closer inspection, you will notice the Canmalchi treadmill offers many of the attributes you would expect from under-the-desk-tread mills. It is lightweight with a low-noise 2HP motor.

Eventhough it calls itself an under desk treadmill, it has raiseable bars which make this suitable for running and walking.

First Impressions

Finding an under-the-desk treadmill is challenging. You don’t want your treadmill to be too large making it difficult to move around your home or for storage purposes. 

The Canmalchi treadmill is slimline with a deck of only 39cm. To its credit, it weighs a mere 22kg (3.5 stone). 

Made from alloy steel, it is still a solid platform and easy to use. 

The LED screen positioned on the front of the treadmill makes keeping an eye on your stats easy. 

For a slimline and lightweight treadmill, it certainly has a powerful motor. The 2HP motor supports a maximum user weight of 100kg with a top speed of 12km/h when in running mode. 

Place the Canmalchi treadmill under your desk, and you have a walking platform with a top speed of 6km per hour. 

Altogether it has to be said the Canmalchi under-desk treadmill is well-presented and exudes confidence.

Assembly

There is no assembly and set-up once the Canmachi treadmill is delivered. All you have to do is to slip it out of the box, plug it in and get moving. 

The remote control needs batteries but that’s about it. 
When fully assembled and bars upright, the dimensions of Canmalchi treadmill are L121cm x W60cm x H102cm.

And when flat (as an under desk treadmill with rails down) the dimensions are L121cm x W60cm

Build Quality:

The design of the Canmalchi is sleek and modern. It is mains powered which means you need to place it close to a power source.

The LED display is located on the front part of the frame. The display is large making your stats easy to read when you are exercising. 

There is a tablet/ mobile device holder on the front support bar if you would like to listen to music or video when working out. 

Although the Canmalchi weighs a mere 22kg, it certainly looks sturdy. 

The walking/running pad is non-slip and offers cushioning comfort for your joints. The support uprights are in proportion with the rest of the frame

Two large transport wheels have been added to the front. Further supports include middle and rear supports.

Performance:

The Canmalchi does not feature any preset programmes. But, at this price point, you need to ask yourself if you need them. There are plenty of YouTube videos that offer routines for you to follow. 

You will notice the treadmill has two modes. Once walk mode is engaged, you can exercise on the Canmalchi at a maximum speed of 6km/h. For most walkers, this is probably enough to get a good walk workout. If you like, this is a good sustainable speed. 

When it comes to running, you can increase the speed up to a maximum of 12km/h. This is a good walking speed. 

The size of the treadmill measures overall L121cm x W60cm x H102cm. Sprinting is perhaps not recommended if you are above average height. Otherwise, general light running and jogging are fine. 

The Canmalchi has a 5-layer shock absorption system which helps to protect your joints. Thanks to the shock absorption system, there is very little feedback as you exercise. 

One of the perks of the Canmalchi treadmill is that you can count your steps. Not all treadmills offering a dedicated walking function have this as part of their stats. Walkers who like to track steps instead of distance will appreciate this

As you exercise on the treadmill, you can also easily monitor track speed, distance, time and calories burned. The stats are clearly displayed on the front end of the treadmill. 

To convert the treadmill into a walking platform, just fold down the supports.

The performance of the treadmill is smooth. There is no jerking or jarring.  The 2HP motor is not completely silent but not far from it. 

You will feel safe and secure on this treadmill whether you are using it in running or walking mode. The belt performs well and you have a non-slip surface that you can rely on. 

With the front support raised, you have a holder for your mobile device or tablet.

In use, this is very quiet compared to similar treadmills in this category.

Easy to move around with front-mounted transport wheels.

The Canmalchi can fold flat enough to fit under a bed or sofa to store.

Final thoughts on the CANMALCHI Under Desk Treadmill

This is a great under-the-desk treadmill and if it’s walking you want, then it is a great choice!

Compared to many others, it offers the best of both worlds at a fantastic price. There are no Bluetooth speakers or pre-set programmes. But, if you are just looking for a treadmill without the bells and whistles, the Canmalchi does the job. 

It is great to have a tablet/ mobile device holder.

The front display is easy to see and you have the advantage of step counting. This is something which is appreciated by many walkers even though they may wear a fitness device.

The treadmill looks modern and sleek. It slips under a sofa or bed in minutes.

All in all, a good choice when you would like to keep fit at home or in the office and for peace of mind, comes with a 1 year warranty.
