First Impressions

My first impressions of the Reebok Jet 100z treadmill are good. Once assembled, it looks like a well-designed treadmill. When you are looking for a folding professional-style treadmill, the Reebook Jet 100z is a good option. And a trusted brand, too.

Good underfoot support is important when you exercise on a treadmill. The Reebok Jet 100z has been designed with that in mind. It features what Reebok calls Air Motion Cushioning technology. This means air is moved between in-built cushioning pods that transfer air when your foot strikes the running board.

The running surface is generous for when you like to run at speed. The display is easy to read and the addition of pulse sensors on the handlebars is a nice touch. It is packed with features useful to serious and fitness runners. You can connect the treadmill to the Zwift or Kinomap to create a personalised, real-life workout or link up with other runners.

And you can also use the MP3 or Bluetooth connectivity to blast out your favourite tunes on the built-in speakers.

Assembling The Jet 100z:

Is the Reebok Jet 100z easy to assemble? Unlike many other treadmills in the same category, the Jet 100z is easy to assemble. Most of the hard work has been done for you. Once unpacked, all you need to do is arrange the frame and tighten the pre-inserted screws. Plug into the mains and you are good to go.

A little word of warning- it’s a heavy machine, so assembling it in the room you’re planning to use it, would be a good idea.

Build Quality:

This is a well-designed treadmill with lots of tech features. When you enjoy running at home, the running surface with its 130cm length and 43cm width comfortably lets you do so. The air-cushioned effect adds to the overall workout experience. 

Although foldable, this is a heavy treadmill. Most of us move our foldable treadmills around our homes. But, at 65kg (over 10 stone), moving the Jet 100z is challenging. Moving this treadmill more than a few metres on your own is not easy. In its favour, it does have transportation wheels.

The build quality is excellent for home fitness. It feels sturdy but you do get slight vibration when you hit higher speeds. The maximum user weight of 110kg (17.3k stone) is good. The 12 levels of incline are an important feature when you want to push your fitness.  The display is at the right level and easy to interact with when you are running. 

When fully assembled, the treadmill measures 129cm in height, width 73cm and depth 157cm. Folded up, the dimensions are H143.5 cm, width 73cm and depth 98cm.

Performance:

The 1.6hp motor delivers a smooth performance on both lower and steeper inclines. The transition between inclines is smooth and works well. The motor has a 2hp peak capacity which offers overall strong performance. 

The treadmill delivers a maximum speed of 18kph which is an excellent top speed for home fitness runners. Unless you are a competitive sprinter, you have plenty of scope for running at both slow and fast speeds on the Reebok Jet 100z. 

When you would like to improve your fitness level, the Reebok Jet 100z offers plenty of scope. If you find it hard to put together your own running programme, you are spoilt for choice here. You can choose from 30 programmes which include varying sprinting and inclines. A body fat programme helps if you are trying to reduce body fat. You can also set the treadmill to manual or choose another program depending on what your fitness goals are.

Staying motivated is easy. The treadmill comes complete with a Bluetooth and MP3 connection and built-in speakers. You can have your favourite tunes blasting out when doing your daily workout. 

You have a built-in fan when you feel you need to cool down. But, it has to be said that on hotter days, you may want a bit of extra cooling power. 
The 8 display functions include speed, time, distance, calories, incline level and heart rate. You can also take advantage of Zwift and Kinomap. This makes running more fun and interactive – you are not stuck with the pre-selected onboard programmes. Zwift lets you interact with other runners and take part in programmes put together by well-known running coaches. And Kinomap gives you a virtual and immersive running experience so you can run up mountains and through the famous countryside!

Worth mentioning that currently you get a 30-day free trial with Kinomap, but after that, you would have to pay a subscription.

Features we really liked:

We love the cushioning feel of the running area. Most runners are worried about the impact of running on their joints. Thanks to the innovative air cushion technology you get with the Reebok Jet 100z, this is less of a factor.

If you are a bit of a tech fan and like to join online workouts, you will love the Zwift app. The app provides you with many opportunities to challenge yourself and boost your motivation.

Fast maximum speeds and good ranges of incline means you won’t ever stop challenging yourself with this Reebok treadmill!
