First impressions of the Pro Fitness EB3000

The Pro Fitness EB3000 not only looks great but it gives you the best possible home cycling experience. It has an adjustable armrest angle for your comfort, and a 9kg unidirectional, inertia flywheel for smooth riding and quiet movement.

One of the main selling points of the Pro Fitness EB3000 is the amount of variety it gives you, something I value highly in an exercise bike. With 18 different user programmes, you can chop and change your workouts, keeping it fresh and interesting each time you cycle.

This exercise bike is designed to be strong and sturdy. This does mean it is quite heavy at 33kg, as well as having a larger frame, with a width of 55cm, so keep that in mind when it comes to storage and using the bike.

This bike really gives you great bang for your buck, where it comes with a 5-inch blue backlight LCD display, allowing you to keep a tab on your progress, as well as providing an electronic resistance system and variable tension control, so you can really work up a sweat.

The adjustable handlebars and adjustable seats allow you to make sure the ride fits to your needs and a reasonable maximum user weight of 120kg means this bike is suitable for a wide variety of users.

This EB3000 has everything you could ever need in a home exercise bike, and at just under £300, is a steal compared to other branded bikes with similar features.

The EB3000 is Pro Fitness’s top range exercise bike, and they’ve really fitted it with all the bells and whistles you could want from an at-home exercise bike.

Setup

It should be noted that this bike can be a bit fiddly to set up, so make sure you put some time aside to assemble it correctly. It also weighs in at 33kg (a little over 5 stone), meaning it can be somewhat clunky to move around.

I would also recommend having a second pair of hands when it comes to setting up, just to make it that bit easier.

One downside of this bike is that it isn’t foldable, meaning it does take up that bit more space, especially when you’re storing it, so make sure this isn’t an issue for you.

It did come with everything I needed to put the bike together, but I did still end up using some of my own tools too.

You can read the full manual here.

Features

This bike really comes into its own when looking at features. The Pro Fitness EB3000 has a huge 18 built in programmes.

This provides a much wider variety of programmes available compared to other at-home exercise bikes we have reviewed, especially considering the reasonable price bracket this bike is in.

This bike is designed to help you make the most out of your workout, whilst keeping your workouts fun and interesting. There are body fat programmes and lots of others that are explained in the manual. So, whatever your goals, the EB3000 can help you reach them!

The 9kg flywheel produces a smooth ride quality and the variable tension control means this bike should keep up with even more seasoned cyclists and really get you working up a sweat.

This bike also comes with a generous 5-inch LCD display with blue backlight, which is larger than other displays we’ve reviewed and allows you to keep track of your speed, distance, calories and time.

This main powered exercise bike also has an electronic resistance system, which makes it easier to change intensities, and the handgrip pulse sensor, allows you to track your pulse during your workout.

Design

It comes with adjustable seat and handlebars, as well as self-levelling pedals with pedal straps.

There is also a generous maximum user weight of 120kg and over 8ft height limit, which means the bike is suitable for a variety of people, and the bike not only looks great, but is also great to use.

The wide base of the feet prevent wobble when riding, and the heavier frame provides a quiet and smooth cycling experience. The bike’s overall dimensions are H140cm, W55cm and D94cm, so keep these in mind when it comes to storage, as this is a little larger than other more compact designed exercise bikes on the market.

  • 18 user programmes
  • 5-inch LCD display
  • Hand pulse sensor
  • Electronic resistance system (change intensity at the push of a button)
  • Adjustable seat and handlebars

  • Maximum user weight 120kg
  • 9kg flywheel
  • Transportation wheels
  • Strong and sturdy

Cons

  • Non-foldable

  • More expensive than other at-home bikes but a good price for what you get in return
  • Recently increased in price due to low stock levels.
  • Needs to be plugged in.

How does the Pro Fitness EB3000 compare to the Pro Fitness EB2000?

The EB3000 can be considered as the elder sibling when it compares to the EB2000. The EB3000 offers you slightly more when it comes to programmes, with 18 available compared to 12 and is 6kg heavier.

This heavier and larger design does make the EB3000 provide that slightly sturdier feel when in-use, although it does make it slightly harder to move around and does take up that little bit more space.

There are quite a few similarities between the two as expected, where both have a 5-inch display, both have the adjustable seat and handlebars, as well as self-levelling pedals.

They are also both mains powered and overall are both very good at-home exercise bikes. Choosing which one is right for you will depend on your budget, where the EB3000 will set you back that bit more, as well as asking yourself what do you want out of an exercise bike?

The Pro Fitness EB2000 is more aimed at beginner to intermediate cyclists, where the EB3000 can keep up with more advanced cyclists, where the extra programmes, weight and tension can provide the more intense workout.

Final thoughts on the Pro Fitness EB3000

This bike really is a fantastic at-home exercise bike, where it provides that gym-quality cycling experience.

At just shy of £300, this bike certainly isn’t one of the cheapest on the market and it is aimed at the more avid cyclist, but when you compare the features vs some well-known brands out there, this one seems like a steal!

If you are a beginner and just looking for a bike to get started with, then this bike might not be for you, but if you are looking for an exercise bike that can provide a large variety of workouts and options, then you can’t go far wrong with the Pro Fitness EB3000.
