Overview
The Reebok Jet 300 is a setup from its lower priced brother the Jet 100 as you would expect with the higher price tag. The questions I get asked the most ‘is the Jet 300 really is that much better than the 100 and what extra features do you get apart from a change of colour?’

Delivery and setup
Delivery was anytime from 9am to 6pm, lucky for me it arrived at 9:15am, I must have been first on the rounds, good start! The removal men carried the package straight into my spare room and I began unpacking almost immediately.
The box is well packaged and slightly bigger in all dimensions than the Jet 100, width 86cm, height 143cm and length 192cm. Again I DO NOT recommend collecting this item yourself unless there are two people and you have a large van. The weight of this item is a hefty 78kg’s.
Setup went smoothly (well almost). The set up for reebok machine is very easy as they come mostly pre-assembled. I sometimes have issues trying to get the last screw into the main frame, it always needs a bit of adjustment to make sure the screw holes line up.
Features
The first point I notices about the Reebok Jet 300 is that aesthetically it looks better than the Jet 100. I am aware that everybody has different tastes, but an all over black frame with a dark blue tint just make this look like a different class of treadmill.
Once the power lead is plugged in and the switch at the base of the treadmill turning on a nice cool blue LED display comes to life. Maybe because most LED on treadmills are a standard red colour, the blue again makes a really nice touch.
Like my previous Jet 100 review, I was a little let down by the lack of there being a detailed display screen, such as on the Reebok GT30. Being an upgraded model I was hoping that this would have been the case.
The program buttons on the Jet300 again are an almost identical match to the Jet 100. They are clear, bright and make the treadmill easy to use for both veteran and first time runners.
Where this treadmill starts to prove its worth is with the upgraded motor, this allows for better sprinting capabilities that are becoming a popular addition to peoples workout routines. This gives you a higher top speed of 20kph and an incredible 15 levels of programmable incline.
We tested the noise levels which came in just below the Jet100, this puts it well within the top 3 lowest noise producing running machines while in operation. Making it a perfect choice for those who are more noise conscious.
The no manual test – How easy is it to operate without instructions?
Within a few minutes of using the machine I was able to perform most generic requests, including select a pre-set speed, manually increase and decrease speed and incline. The pre-set programs were easy to follow and diagrams on the display allow you to see how your workout program will progress over time.
The Reebok Jet 300 is equipped with the option to turn on a fan located within the main display panel of the treadmill. This is a great features that gives some airflow and helps keep you cool should you be unable to naturally guarantee a breeze from nearby open doors or winds.
Unlike other Reebok machines such as the GT30, the Reebok Jet 300 has two cup holders can act as either a bottle holder or an mp3/phone holder. The Jet 300 also comes equipped with inbuilt speakers that allow you to connect your MP3 player to the treadmill unit through the male to male auxiliary cable (mine was supplied). Don’t expect the sound quality to be as good as the latest Bang and Olufsen, but it’s fine to sound out all your favourite Rocky workout tracks.
The Reebok Jet 300 is also equipped with a number of safety features such as an auto stop safety function. Like many high end gym treadmills, a red cord is attached to the front of the unit magnetically. This can be clipped onto your clothing and should the cord be pulled and magnet come away from the treadmill it will perform an emergency stop.
The Jet 300 has a similar ‘air motion’ technology as the Jet 100 but this does feel slightly softer as you run. The setup is designed in a way that limits impact and gives better protection to your joints meaning the risk of injury is reduced. The running track is also slightly bigger in both width and length which makes it a better all-round treadmill in my opinion.
Like many compact treadmills this version does fold into an upright position for storage in the corner of the room or under your stairs.

Final word
The Reebok Jet 300, what do we think? Quite simply for the average runner who may use a treadmill possibly once or twice a week, we would recommend the cheaper Jet 100. However if this is not your first treadmill or you intend to use this more frequently, paying that bit extra especially for the higher end motor will mean you get the most from the additional benefits that this treadmill has to offer. Overall another great treadmill produced by Reebok that I would be happy to use as part of my daily workout routine.
